Terms of Service

Last updated: 30th September, 2026

These Terms govern your use of buzz.events ("Buzz", "the Platform"), operated by BWH Technologies LLP, C/O Mohd Afzal Nagaria, Majjid Road, Vrindavan Colony, Jagdalpur, Bastar, Chhattisgarh 494001, India ("we", "us"). By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. What Buzz is

Buzz is a platform that lets organizers publish events, sell tickets and add-ons, manage sponsors and speakers, and check in attendees. Buzz is not the organizer of events listed on the Platform unless we say so on the event page. Each event is the responsibility of its organizer. The organizer's name and contact details are shown on each event page.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
  • Give accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
  • You may book some events as a guest without an account. These Terms still apply.
  • A parent or legal guardian may book tickets for a minor and is responsible for that booking.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

3. For attendees

  • Contract with the organizer: when you buy a ticket, your contract for the event is with the organizer. The organizer sets the price, capacity, schedule, venue, refund policy and entry rules.
  • Prices and taxes: prices include or show applicable taxes, such as GST, at checkout. You can request a tax invoice by giving your billing details and tax ID.
  • Payments: you can pay through Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal, or an offline method the organizer accepts. Your booking is confirmed only when the payment provider or the organizer confirms your payment.
  • Changes, transfers and cancellations: you can change add-ons, transfer tickets or request cancellation up to the deadline the event allows. Cancellation requests need the organizer's approval.
  • Refunds: refunds follow the organizer's refund policy, shown on the event page. We do not guarantee refunds. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy for how requests and refunds work.
  • Tickets: each ticket is for one person. Do not copy, resell or share tickets unless the organizer allows it. Organizers may refuse entry for invalid or duplicate tickets.
  • Event changes: organizers may change or cancel events. Contact the organizer about any remedy.

4. For organizers and teams

  • You are responsible for your events. This includes accurate listings, delivering the event, safety, permits, refunds, taxes and compliance with the law.
  • You must show accurate organizer details (name and contact information) on your events.
  • You must have a lawful basis to collect attendee data. Use it only to run your event, and follow applicable privacy laws. For attendee data held on the Platform, we act on your instructions as your processor. If you export attendee data or use it outside the Platform, you are responsible for that use.
  • You are responsible for the team members you invite and the roles you give them.
  • You must publish a clear refund and cancellation policy for paid events and honour it.

5. Payments and payouts

Organizers can accept payments in one of these ways.

  • Payments collected by BWH: where Buzz collects payments on your behalf through BWH Technologies LLP's merchant account, we pay the amount collected, less any fees, refunds, chargebacks and taxes we must deduct, to your registered bank account on the payout schedule shown in your dashboard. Where GST law requires us, as an e-commerce operator, to collect tax at source, we deduct it from payouts and issue the relevant statements. You remain responsible for refunds and disputes relating to your event, and we may deduct refunds and chargebacks from your payouts.
  • Offline payments: if you accept cash, bank transfer or another offline method, you are responsible for collecting, confirming and refunding those payments.

Fees: Buzz is currently free for organizers. We may introduce a per-ticket fee in future, in addition to payment gateway fees. We will give 30 days' notice before any new fee or fee change and show any fees before you are charged.

6. Speakers and sponsors

  • By submitting a proposal, profile or sponsorship enquiry, you confirm the content is yours or you have the right to share it.
  • Each organizer decides whether to accept proposals and sponsorships. Sponsorship payments and benefits are agreed between you and the organizer.

7. Your content

  • You keep ownership of content you upload, such as event descriptions, images, logos, talks and feedback.
  • You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content to run and promote the Platform and your events. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies kept for backups or legal reasons.
  • You must not upload content that is illegal, infringing, misleading, hateful or harmful. We may remove such content.

8. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • create fraudulent events;
  • sell fake tickets;
  • use stolen payment methods;
  • scrape the Platform or overload it;
  • try to access data that is not yours;
  • get around security measures;
  • send spam through the Platform;
  • use the Platform for any illegal purpose.

9. Open source

Buzz's software is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPL v3). That licence covers the code. These Terms cover the hosted service at buzz.events. The Buzz name and logo are not licensed for your use.

10. Availability

We work to keep the Platform available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We may change or discontinue features at any time. Maintenance or outages may interrupt service.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for events themselves, including their quality, safety, cancellation or refunds, or for anything organizers, attendees, speakers or sponsors do;
  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data;
  • our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us for use of the Platform in the 12 months before the claim arose and (b) ₹10,000.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud.

12. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your events, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. You can delete your account from your account settings or by emailing developers@bwh.tech. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or put users at risk. Sections 7 (licence to content still displayed), 11, 12, 15 and 16 continue after termination.

14. Changes to these Terms

We will post updates here and change the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will also notify you by email. If you keep using the Platform after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, India, have exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting legal action, contact our Grievance Officer so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

16. General

  • Force majeure: we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, network or power failures, government action or failures of third-party services.
  • Severability: if any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • Entire agreement: these Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Platform.
  • No waiver: if we do not enforce a right, we have not given it up.
